Mr. Teti is a veteran of both U.S. military and government special operations. He has served as a Force Recon Marine, an Army Special Forces ‘Green Beret’, and an operative with the CIA’s Special Activities Division / Special Operations Group (SAD/SOG) — Ground Branch
Less than 1% of all special operations members across all four military branches (Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines) have passed the grueling mental, physical, and psychological requirements to qualify. SAD/SOG operatives conduct covert action missions that are deniable at the highest levels of government; if compromised, the U.S. government may disavow any knowledge of their activities. Security professionals consider the CIA’s SAD/SOG to be the premier covert action, ‘black ops’ unit in the world.
During his time with SAD/SOG, Joseph deployed to Iraq (Operation Iraqi Freedom), Afghanistan (Operation Enduring Freedom), and numerous other countries across the Middle East and Africa. He was responsible for planning and executing a wide array of Direct Action (DA) missions — high-risk, precision operations conducted in volatile, high-stakes, zero compromise environments. These missions demanded rapid deployment, discreet execution, and mastery of an extensive range of specialized skills, all while maintaining the lowest possible visibility of U.S. involvement. During his operational time with Ground Branch he commanded both the Counter Terrorist Pursuit Team (CTPT) and the Qandahar Strike Force (QSF), both OMEGA Team programs.
Mr. Teti has held a TOP SECRET–SCI with polygraph security clearance — the highest clearance level awarded by the U.S. government — and has completed over 40 formal schools in regards to special operations.
Between his service in the Marines and Army, Mr. Teti attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He earned his Series 7 and 63 stockbroker licenses and worked for five years as a stockbroker with the Wall Street firm Bear Stearns. During that time, he also achieved his Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) credential and managed a $160 million pension account for Amdahl Computers, a major software firm.
