Mr. Anthony Sabio is a seasoned security and intelligence professional with decades of experience across the U.S. Navy, U.S. Secret Service, and Central Intelligence Agency. He began his career as a U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman serving with the Marine Corps before becoming a training instructor with the 1st Special Operations Training Group, where he specialized in mountaineering, rock climbing, and urban assault.
In 2002. Mr. Sabio joined the United States Secret Service, serving on the Emergency Response Team of the Presidential Protection Detail under President George W. Bush. By 2007, he was recruited into the Central Intelligence Agency, where he conducted high-threat collection operations against high-value targets within the Counterterrorism Center, and later served as a Counterintelligence Officer in the Counterintelligence Center. Over the course of his CIA service, he deployed more than 1,500 days worldwide, holding leadership positions as Site Team Leader, Country Team Lead, and Regional Counterintelligence Officer.
After leaving federal service, Mr. Sabio transitioned into the private sector, where he has continued to operate and advise in high-threat environments. In 2022, he gained national recognition after conducting a solo extraction of a U.S. national from Ukraine during the Russian invasion, an operation featured in People magazine and Law Enforcement Today. An accomplished writer for the law enforcement community, he also continues his service to the nation as a candidate for the Virginia 8th Congressional District.
Mr. Sabio’s lifetime of experience in security, intelligence, and counterterrorism makes him a vital member of The Terrapin Group’s Board of Advisors, where he provides strategic guidance and insight across both government and private-sector engagements.
